We are grateful for the work done by the Permanent Bilateral Working Commission between the State of Israel and the Holy See to reach agreement on financial matters, which we hope will soon be concluded. Likewise, we are grateful for the commitment of the State of Israel to maintaining the status quo at Christian holy sites, for the respect and protection it accords to Catholic Churches, monasteries, monasteries and cemeteries, for its support and encouragement of pilgrimages and for so many other elements of the Fundamental Convention. Diplomatic relations between the two states were established after the signing of the agreement. It renews this energetic and increasingly urgent commitment, as new forms of evil of anti-Semitism have emerged. . . .
